Important: We are labeling this species as Grammostola pulchra as that is how it was purchased and how it is widely known in the hobby. However, there is ongoing taxonomic debate within the community about whether this hobby staple may actually be Grammostola quirogai, the Uruguayan Black. Until this is definitively resolved, we are maintaining the traditional G. pulchra designation that collectors recognize and expect.
